Angela is fighting for her memories
as she knew
them.
On February the 21, 2008 Angela was traveling in her pickup on SR62 when she lost control and hit a tree on the driver's side. She was trapped inside until rescuers found her. Sleet was about 1/2 inch thick on the pavement that day. She was found sometime before 11:44 Am. Every day since that time has been a monuments step in her recovery.
I wasn't very familiar with traumatic brain injuries. I was "TBI stupid". I still feel that way. Angela is the wonderful mother of three. Chase, the oldest son turned 11 while she was at U of L Hospital. Seth is 7. He is the tortured middle kid. Skylar is the spoiled rotten little girl. She turned 5, also while Angela was at University hospital. They are all great kids. One thing for certain, they are all Mommy's babies. They need her to get better. As I have been told several times ,"We have a long road to travel". For those of you that know Angela, she is one tough cookie. She does well and in great spirit most of the time and continues moving forward at a slow rate.
AngelaTBI is still open
As an accident, It automatically paid for another year. No regrets though. It was a blessing that I did not ask for. Writing my thoughts and ramblings was the only thing that kept my sanity throughout the beginning of Angela's initial steps in recovery. If you look around the site content should be the same. I took a mirrored image of the old site and saved it to my hard drive. I will back it up and save the journal from it. Basically, I will redesign the site to include a journal download and a few notes. It may seem like I have fell off the edge of the Earth. I kind of feel like I have in some regards.
